In this course, students will investigate the physical, psychological, and emotional dimensions of health and explore what it means to be “well” in the contemporary world. Topics covered will include human physiology, personal fitness, dieting, managing stress, sleep hygiene, mental illness, addiction and substance abuse, human sexuality, and the impact of contemporary social media on wellbeing. Students will develop the skills they need to access and interpret reliable, research-based health information throughout their lives.
